About

The mind has source code.
We're reading it out loud.

Shadow Coded Psychology started as a YouTube channel asking uncomfortable questions: why do you keep dating the same person? Why do you rehearse arguments in the shower? Why does one sentence expose a narcissist?

The answer, every time, is that your mind runs on patterns — installed in childhood, reinforced by habit, and invisible from the inside. Freud called them complexes. Jung called them shadows. Modern psychology calls them cognitive biases. They're all the same thing: code you didn't write, running your life.

This site is the written companion to the channel. Every article expands one video into a full decoding — the psychology, the mechanism, and what to do about it.

What we are not: therapists. Nothing here is medical or psychological advice. We're educators and storytellers translating a century of psychology into language that actually lands.

How we keep the lights on: some articles recommend books via Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases — it costs you nothing extra.

Watch the short versions on YouTube. Read the deep versions here. Then go decode someone — starting with yourself.
